![]() In my years playing DnD, here are the top 10 most OP characters I’ve encountered. What happens when you’ve cycled through all of the classic tropes like the Dwarf Cleric, Halfling Rogue and Elf Wizard? Well, that’s when you start thinking outside of the box, and it’s when those creative juices start flowing that some of the most bizarre, most powerful characters come to life. Many say your first DnD character is a reflection of yourself.īut what happens after you’ve created your first character, and then your second, and then your third and fourth until no more fantasy versions of you remain? Thx for all your feedback and criticism. What are the most Overpowered D&D character builds?Ĭreating a character in DnD can be a very intricate, very personal process that takes hours or days to complete. If you see something very broken, please tell me since I’m not that experienced, I know there is some wild stuff you can do just in vanilla DnD. This way you get some sort of goodie at every level no matter which class you pick. I like when characters get stronger with every level so I included some “power ups” at irregular intervals like 5th, 7th, 11th, and 13th, level. My custom Slime race Ancient Elder Ooze (Slime) is heavily inspired byĪIS (Amorphous Intelligent Slime) by Eoin_Lynne Like giving a slime immunity to most conditions and resistens to all non-magical attacks at 1st level is op even though it kind of makes sense, so I spread those across multiple levels. I’m mostly interested in balancing the early game 1st to 14th level. From what I have seen and experienced characters get quite powerful after the 13th 14th level to the point where balancing is more in the hands of the DM being able to improvise and adapt to very powerful characters. I’m quite new to DnD (I have only run two campaigns so far both as DM) so I would like any feedback regarding balancing with other “vanilla” characters. I’m using DnD Beyond as a base for campaigns I run so I made my race there as well. I know that with the release of Spelljammer a homebrew slime race is kind of unnecessary since we got the Plasmoid race but I still went along.
